Common questions

When does my message arrive?

At the time you chose, as a notification. Half an hour before, Rafiq asks how your day is going: your message comes either way, and checking in makes it about today. Change the time in Profile, Daily message.

I'm not getting notifications.

Open your iPhone's Settings, Notifications, Rafiq, and turn on Allow Notifications. Also check that a Focus mode is not silencing it.

How do I change my name, language or profile?

In the app, open Profile. Your name and what Rafiq knows about you are under Edit; language, message time, appearance and reciter are under Preferences.

What does Rafiq remember about me, and can I remove it?

Open Profile, What the app remembers. You can see each thing Rafiq follows up on and delete any of them.

Is the Quran section free?

Yes. The whole mushaf, recitation, translations, tafsirs, search and offline reading are free for everyone. Plus adds the AI chats and a few extras.

How do I cancel Plus?

Plus is billed by Apple. Open your iPhone's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, Rafiq Plus, Cancel Subscription.

Does Rafiq give religious rulings?

No. Its reflections and answers come from scholars' explanations and are checked against them, but for a ruling on your situation, ask a qualified scholar you trust.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Profile, scroll to Account, and tap Delete account. Your profile, check-ins, messages, ratings and chats are deleted straight away, and if you use Sign in with Apple, Rafiq's access to your Apple ID is revoked.

If you can no longer open the app, email support@meetrafiq.com from the address on your account, and we will delete it within 7 days. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
